Team Leader/Local Economic Development Expert

We are currently recruiting for a Field-based Team Leader for an upcoming project in Indonesia.  Responsibilities could include (but are not limited to):

  • Overall management of the project toward the achievement of intended results;
  • Providing support to and supervision of project personnel and sub-contractors; and
  • Ensuring coordination with partner organizations.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Ten (10) years of experience managing large projects and administering budgets;
  • Five (5) years  of work experience while resident in developing countries, including Indonesia;
  • Experience in managing local teams of experts and staff;
  • Experience in local economic development;
  • Experience in participatory processes, capacity development and the integration of cross-cutting themes, including gender equality; and
  • Canadian citizen or Canadian landed immigrant.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience providing training and business development services to SMEs on projects that support local economic development; and
  • Bahasa Indonesia.
