June 2014: Cowater and iCOMMS awarded contract to study Information Communications Technology in Africa

Through the Water and Sanitation Program of the World Bank, Cowater and its partner iCOMMS (Information for Community Oriented Municipal Services) of the University of Cape Town, South Africa, has been selected to complete a regional study to build knowledge and develop guidelines for the at-scale use of information and communications technology (ICT) tools and services in African countries. Cowater and iCOMMS will investigate the emerging uses of ICT across sectors in order to improve the planning, implementation, monitoring, management and regulation of water and sanitation systems and the overall accountability framework of the sector.

This project will be managed by Cowater’s Water, Sanitation and Environment Group.
