March 2016: Cowater awarded a contract to Strengthen Resource Management in Four African Countries

Cowater International Inc., with financial support from Global Affairs Canada and in partnership with the Conseil Régional de Formation des Institutions Supérieures de Contrôle des Finances Publiques d’Afrique Francophone Subsaharienne (CREFIAF), is extremely pleased and proud to announce the launch of a new multi-country project in Africa.  Designed by Cowater, this innovative $18M  governance project will build the capacity of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) in four sub-Saharan African countries (Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Madagascar and Mali) to better oversee their extractives sector activities and ensure that the benefits derived from these key economic drivers contribute to the overall betterment of the countries,  positively impact the lives of their citizens and help reduce poverty.

This new project will be managed and implemented by Cowater’s Public Financial Management and Accountability practice and builds on the company’s deep experience strengthening resource management for country partners worldwide.
