Cowater awarded a contract to strengthen the national internal audit function in Lesotho
The Government of Lesotho and the African Development Bank have awarded Cowater International Inc., a contract to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the public sector in Lesotho. The project’s expected outcome will be to increase institutional, organisational and operational capacity of the internal audit function and also strengthen professional, competencies and performance of the internal audit personnel within the Ministry of Finance and government line ministries. Project Activities will assist in the Government of Lesotho in organising the Internal Audit functions in the Ministry of Finance and line ministries, develop an internal audit manual, provide comprehensive training to internal audit staff, and operationalize the audit committee.
This new project will be managed and implemented by Cowater’s Public Financial Management and Accountability practice and builds on the company’s deep internal audit experience with national governments worldwide.
