Dan Coleman, C.M.A., B.Comm. - Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Mr. Coleman is a professional accountant (Certified Management Accountant) who has been working in international development since 1991. He has worked on several projects in South Asia, West Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa, and Alaska. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Coleman is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company and performance measurement. Mr. Coleman has formal project leadership training and has technical expertise with accounting and financial reporting, financial management information systems, procurement, budgeting, performance measurement, balanced scorecard, results-based management, human resources management, and activity-based costing/management. Prior to Mr. Coleman’s appointment as COO in 2011, he was the Vice-President of the Public Financial Management and Accountability Group for two years and Vice-President of Finance and Administration for 12 years, where he was responsible for the financial and administrative management of the company’s operations. In that role, he provided leadership to the company’s financial operations, as well as overseeing and providing practical managerial guidance on the financial, procurement, and contractual management of international development projects.
