October 2011: Government of Angola Selects Cowater to Develop National Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program

Cowater, in association with R.J. Burnside and Development Workshop Angola, have been awarded a contract by the National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation of Angola, with funding from the African Development Bank, to help define and prepare studies for the elaboration of the National Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Strategy and Investment Program.

Through this project, Cowater and its partners will examine the national water sector policy and strategic background and the roles of different stakeholders, then establish a set of criteria, principles and approaches for a priority series of rural water supply projects within the country to be implemented during the period of 2011-2016.

Cowater has been working in Southern Africa for over twenty years and, with this new initiative in Angola, looks forward to continuing its tradition of success and development in the region.
