Michael Eastman, M.P.A., M.Soc.Sci., C.M.A. - Vice President, Public Financial Management & Accountability Group

Mr. Eastman brings to Cowater a very high profile in the Canadian audit community and a vast professional network of clients and consultants, having been the Executive Director of CCAF (formerly the Canadian Comprehensive Auditing Foundation) for the past seven years. During his tenure as Executive Director of CCAF, Mike was successful in negotiating and leading a large increase in CIDA?s funding for CCAF?s international program. Other international consultancies that Mike led through CCAF included a mandate review of the Auditor General of Belize and a research project with the Sloan Foundation of New York to examine ways to better align the content of public performance reports with the needs of users.  As Vice President of the Public Financial Management and Accountability Group, he provides quality control oversight and leads the work in the division, as well as providing hands-on management and direction on two large public sector accountability projects. Michael is a Fellow of the Society Management Accountants of Ontario, and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
