Vice President, Social Development

Ms. Geagea has over 15 years of experience in planning, managing and implementing large projects in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe. Currently her work focuses on closing the gaps between needs, policy and performance to ensure the social service needs of a population are met in a responsive and accountable manner. Prior to joining Cowater, Ms. Geagea worked for the Canadian Federal Government managing donor funded projects in public sector oversight, reform and institutional capacity-building in Mali and Cuba and served as Assistant Director General of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) in Norway. While with IDI, she oversaw the management and implementation of multi-donor regional programing throughout Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Western Africa and Latin America. Ms. Geagea provides senior management support and supervision to headquarters personnel, field team leaders and project managers in the following areas:

  • Social service delivery
  • Gender equality and women’s empowerment
  • Health systems strengthening and sector reform
  • Citizen engagement, accountability, and civil society strengthening
  • Education and training
  • Extractive sector support in community development for health and education
