Commencement of the Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Technical Assistance Facility
Cowater is proud to announce the commencement of the Global Affairs Canada-funded Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) implemented by Cowater International in association with the Institute of Public Administration in Canada (IPAC).
The CAD 12 million Facility will help reduce poverty in developing Asia-Pacific countries by providing responsive technical assistance to support reforms to trade and investment policies and regulations. The TAF will align technical assistance with the Feminist International Assistance Policy action areas, and is available to Official Development Assistance (ODA)-eligible countries in the Asia-Pacific. Regional institutions, government and non-governmental actors will be able to request TAF assistance.
Once TAF’s implementation phase has commenced, a dynamic web portal will be in place through which requests for the Facility’s assistance can be prepared, channelled and assessed along with detailed qualification criteria. These requests will be received and assessed on an ongoing basis by the TAF team in coordination with Global Affairs Canada.
