Preventing and responding effectively to gender-based violence is critical to the well-being of women, girls, and entire communities. We design and implement programs that address harmful social norms and build the capacity of governments and civil society to prevent and respond to gender-based violence. Our experience has shown that it is critical to help women and girls to know and exercise their rights and to address men’s and boys’ harmful ideas of masculinity that contribute to this violence.
