South and South-East Asia - Indonesia

2020-2024 | DFAT | AUD 11M

Cowater International is implementing the Program Implementation Consultant (PIC) to the Performance Based Grant (PBG) for Local government Water Utilities project as part of the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Infrastructure (KIAT) – a partnership between the governments of Australia and Indonesia to support sustainable and inclusive economic growth through improved access to infrastructure. KIAT works with government and civil society, providing technical assistance to improve infrastructure policy, planning and delivery as well as with sub-national governments to improve the quality of infrastructure spending and planning. Cowater International’s component provides incentives to local governments to improve the performance of their water utilities through rewarding those utilities that improve their performance in the areas of governance, financial management, operational efficiency, and service quality, with grants that would allow them to further improve their services and associated infrastructure.
