Development of Vocational Training Programs under the Skills Approach

This project was implemented to increase opportunities for vocational and technical training for young people and to meet the demand for labour in Haiti.  The project was part of the sectoral plan for education and educational reform in Haiti; specifically, it consisted of using a competency-based approach to develop 14 vocational training programs and their companion guides: a training and learning guide, a learning assessment guide, and a teaching and material organization guide. The project developed 42 vocational training programs composed of: 14 preliminary studies, 14 work situation analyzes (AST), and 14 training projects; in addition to 42 accompanying guides composed of: 14 pedagogical guides, 14 evaluation guides, and 14 guides for pedagogical and material organization.
