PARECIS was a multifaceted institutional and capacity building support project  funded by Global Affairs Canada. The goal of PARECIS was to strengthen ECOWAS’s processes and capabilities in the areas of regional cooperation and integration and conflict prevention/management. PARECIS helped build the ECOWAS Commission’s core and institutional capacities through three medium-term results: (1) improved organizational leadership of the ECOWAS Commission and modern, efficient and result-delivering management systems (2) increased capacity to effectively manage a program-based approach (3) promotion of a development that is equitable and environmentally sustainable, and builds the economic, social, and environmental capacities of women, men, girls, and boys.
