Long Term Agreement for Third Party Monitoring Activities in Somalia (Focus on Routine Monitoring with Sectoral Analysis; Supervision; Capacity Assessment)

Sub-Saharan Africa - Somalia

2017-2019 | UNICEF | USD 0.55M

The overall objective of this contract, implemented by Cowater International (formerly Transtec), was to conduct third-party assurance activities to monitor and/or verify that UNICEF-supported activities were being implemented, with quality and integrity, by NGO and/or government partners; and to contribute to the survival, development and protection of Somali children, women and communities. The findings of third-party assurance activities facilitated decision-making and improved performance, both on partnership development and management, and the overall direction of the Somalia country programme.
