Policy Leadership and Advocacy for Gender Equality (PLAGE) – Phase 1

South and South-East Asia - Bangladesh

1998-2003 | Global Affairs Canada | CAD 5.2M

Phase one of the “Policy Leadership and Advocacy for Gender Equality (PLAGE)” project was undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through Global Affairs Canada (GAC). The initiative strengthened the capacity of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MOWCA) as a leader in advocating for gender equality within the government and civil society of Bangladesh. Cowater further enhanced the ability of MOWCA to develop effective policies and support programs that respond to women’s needs and reduce gender disparity.
