Re-Organisation of the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG)

The objective of this assignment was to develop an affordable and realistic organisational structure for PO-RALG that was aligned with its evolving mandate and strategic plan and that reflected the experience and judgment of senior management. This included the development of a detailed capacity development plan for strengthening the preferred organisational structure, including immediate, medium and longer-term proposed actions. The assignment was undertaken using a participatory approach led by a small team of expert international and Tanzania-based consultants, together with a senior-level reference group from PO-RALG.
