Strengthening Audit Resource Management Plan

South and South-East Asia - Bhutan

2011-2014 | Asian Development Bank | USD 300,000

Cowater assisted the Royal Audit Authority (RAA) of Bhutan in becoming a more effective Supreme Audit Institution by assuring financial discipline, compliance with authorities and reliable financial reporting in Bhutan’s public sector. This three-year USD 300,000 project (2011-2014) strengthened the RAA by improving its ability to analyse the causes of financial irregularities and mismanagement and make recommendations to improve financial discipline, ensuring a better use of resources and reducing the risks of fraud, inefficiency and waste. Additionally, as part of this project, Cowater developed a custom Audit Resources Management System for the RAA.
