Sub-Saharan Africa - Republic of Congo

2015-2016 | European Commission | EUR 0.92

The objective of the PAREDA project implemented by Cowater International (formerly Transtec) was to consolidate the Rule of Law in compliance with the justice sector policy. This project brought together international and national expertise in human rights and juridical code to support the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (MJHR) in the revision and elaboration of juridical codes, assist the MJHR and the Congolese Parliament in ratifying and transposing the international and regional Human Rights instruments into internal legislation, and to support the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to comply with the Paris Principles.
