Technical Assistance to Support Cities in Raising Revenues in Urban Development Project Cities

The aim of the project was to support the efforts of four targeted flagship cities in the mobilization of own source revenues in increase municipal resources available and to extend the reforms to other Congolese cities following a successful implementation. The four flagship cities targeted by the project were located in four different provinces: Kikwit in Kwilu province; Matadi, the capital of Kongo province; Goma the capital of North Kivu; and Bukavu, the capital of South Kivu. The project assisted these cities in the development of own source revenue generation strategies, worked with the cities to implement them, and monitored for results.
