1995-2002 | Global Affairs Canada | CAD 9.35M

Cowater implemented this CAD 9.35 M, Global Affairs Canada-funded project to improve the Government of Vietnam’s ability to formulate and coordinate financial policies and practices from 1995 to 2002. This was achieved through strengthening the capacity of policymakers from the Ministry of Finance. Cowater assisted in the preparation and implementation of a strategic plan and strengthened ministry operations in legal frameworks, identified policy options and coordinated with central agencies. The project identified gender focal points in the ministry and provided gender awareness and sensitization training for, and policy dialogue among, gender focal points, senior government officials and other ministry staff.
