Tasdeer Project hosts visit by UK Minister for Development
Her Excellency Anneliese Dodds, UK Minister for Development and Minister for Women and Equalities, visited Ramallah as part of her tour of the occupied Palestinian territories, where she highlighted the UK’s commitment to advancing gender equality and economic empowerment especially given the devastation in Gaza. During her visit, the Minister met with the Tasdeer team and representatives from the Business Women Forum-Palestine (BWF) to discuss their collaborative efforts to support women’s economic participation. The meeting was an opportunity to highlight the impact of initiatives like Tasdeer’s Women Champions on Board and the Career Shift Tech Programme, which equips women with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in leadership and emerging sectors.
At BWF, Minister Dodds engaged with inspiring graduates of Tasdeer’s programmes and beneficiaries of Women Support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), hearing firsthand about their journeys and successes. This visit underscored the critical importance of partnerships in empowering women and driving inclusive economic growth.
