Private Sector Small and Micro Enterprise Support Project – Mali (PAPME)

Cowater implemented this 5 year project (1990-1995) in order to promote the development of the private sector as well as the creation of permanent jobs in Mali.é PAPME strengthened economic activities in the field of SMEs and micro-enterprises, with a focus on those working in the transformation or production within the agro-business, construction materials, housing, and household necessity areas. Special attention was paid to the gender and development dimension in order to support women’s associations and women’s groups in the creation of SMEs for their specific clienteles.
