The Australia – Indonesia Partnership Towards an Inclusive Society (INKLUSI)

The AustraliaIndonesia Partnership Towards an Inclusive Society (AIPTIS) is Australias flagship investment in gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) in Indonesia and will contribute to Australias efforts to support Indonesias stability and prosperity through the development goal of more Indonesian women and marginalised groups can equitably participate in and benefit from Indonesias social, economic, and political opportunities. The underlying development strategy of AIPTIS is to empower local actors who influence the social, political and economic institutions in Indonesia that underpin an inclusive, stable and prosperous democracy. The program focuses on the role of civil society, as legitimate, necessary, independent non-state actors that help to bind the social contract between citizens and the state so that more Indonesian women and marginalized groups equitably participate in and benefit from Indonesia’s social, economic, and political opportunities.
