Cowater International’s Promoting Girls’ Education in Mali (SCOFI) Project is improving educational outcomes for adolescent girls (aged 13 to 15) in Mali, particularly in the central region of Ségou. The program is designed to address the socioeconomic, cultural, and physical barriers faced by adolescent girls, including girls with disabilities, in accessing quality, inclusive education and a safe learning environment. SCOFI is also working to strengthen professional practices among teachers and administrators within Mali’s Ministry of Education, at the national and sub-national levels to improve the quality of education that is inclusive and gender-responsive.
