Empowering women, girls and marginalized communities to thrive
Through a participatory approach, we work with governments, civil society, particularly women’s rights organizations, and the private sector to enable transformative action on gender equality; achieve social and disability inclusion; and to mobilize the power of women and girls. To ensure that our initiatives are impactful and sustainable, we put the perspectives, needs, and strengths of women and girls, people with disabilities, refugees, displaced populations and other groups who face social, economic and/or political marginalization at the center of our programming. Such actions are fundamental to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (2030), which prioritize reaching the poorest and most vulnerable.
