Global - Global

2014-2018 | European Commission | EUR 5.6M

The European Resources for Mediation Support (ERMES) is an EU facility to support global peace mediation efforts worldwide. The overall objective of ERMES 1 and 2 was to facilitate EU support to third parties engaged in inclusive peace mediation and dialogue processes at the international, regional or local levels, by providing technical assistance, training, organising meetings and seminars. Cowater International (formerly Transtec) implemented phases 1 and 2, providing expertise in the area of global peace mediation and dialogue, combining country and regional conflict analysts with experts in a range of thematic areas related to mediation (such as mediation process design, security issues, transitional justice, constitution-making, power-sharing, gender, natural resources and wealth-sharing, national dialogue and the role of the media)
