Following the 2004 Tsunami, Cowater provided technical assistance to World Vision Canada to identify areas for support during recovery and rehabilitation. Cowater undertook a detailed assessment of conditions following the tsunami to assist in the development of water and sanitation programs at the district level.  As part of this, Cowater worked with district-level engineers and local government to identify community water and sanitation projects for future World Vision programming. This technical assistance was delivered in 2005.
