Shakti Gender Equity Project Operational Review

South and South-East Asia - Sri Lanka

- | Global Affairs Canada | CAD 36,500

The “Shakti Gender Equity Project Operational Review” project was a five-month, CAD 36,500 initiative undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through Global Affairs Canada (GAC). The initiative examined and made recommendations on the Shakti Gender Equity Project, which had two facets: (1) building institutional capacity of the Government of Sri Lanka and NGOs to improve gender equality mainstreaming at the policy and structural levels; and (2) building the capacity of the agency to integrate gender equality objectives into its Development Program in Sri Lanka. Cowater assessed the progress made towards the achievement of results at the output, outcome and impact levels of the project, and provided recommendations to improve the implementation and on-going performance, monitoring and reporting for the project.
