Strengthening Ethics, Integrity and Green Governance

Africa - South Africa

2025-2030 | Global Affairs Canada | CAD 5M

The Strengthening Ethics, Integrity and Green Governance project in South Africa will support the South African government by enhancing accountability, efficiency, and transparency in the public administration at national, provincial and municipal levels. Through technical assistance to the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA), the project will improve the prevention and response to all forms of harassment, and focus on supporting effective ethics and integrity management and strengthening the capacity of responsible bodies to implement gender-inclusive anti-corruption mechanisms, including Lifestyle Audits across all spheres of public administration. In light with the recent adoption of the Public Procurement Act (PPA), the project will also contribute to lay the foundation for improving green governance by supporting ethical procurement practices in the clean energy and climate change sectors at the national and provincial level.
