Alastair Brookes MSc
Mr Brookes is the Country Manager of Cowater International New Zealand Ltd (formerly FCG ANZDEC Ltd) and has overall responsibility for implementing corporate strategy and all aspects of performance on business development, operations and finance. He is the primary client lead for the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Alastair has over 20 years’ experience in international development with a particular focus on climate change mitigation and adaptation through sustainable energy projects and programmes. He provides leadership in designing and delivering complex technical assistance programmes and capacity development projects in Asia, Central America, the Pacific, Africa and the Caribbean. Prior to joining FCG, Alastair worked for Jacobs Engineering Ltd as a Principal Advisor to private sector and government clients seeking to reduce carbon emissions and delivery renewable energy projects.
Alastair holds a Bachelors degree in Business Studies and Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK and a Master’s of Science (with Distinction) in Renewable Energy Systems Technology from the University of Loughborough, UK.
