Implementation of IPPC’s ePhyto Solution in Madagascar

Sub-Saharan Africa - Madagascar

2021-2022 | Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation | USD $ 217 000

This project assisted the Malagasy Plant Protection Organization (Direction de la Protection des Végétaux or DPV) to digitalize the process of issuing phytosanitary certificates and the process of receiving and controlling importations based on electronic phytosanitary (e-Phyto) certificates through implementation of an electronic certification system. This type of certification is necessary for exporting plants, plant products or other regulated items and this mechanism helps facilitate greater agricultural exports and economic development.
