Oversight of the public sector is an important and often overlooked pillar of the public expenditure function. As independent public bodies responsible for monitoring the use of public funds, Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) ensure oversight, transparency and accountability of public sector spending. They play a fundamental role in efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals as key national players in ensuring good governance. Cowater International has worked globally to strengthen the organizational capacity of public sector audit institutions, including more than 25 SAIs.
Our own Audit Management Software, Audit360TM, supports public sector audit institutions worldwide in enhancing their overall efficiency and productivity, while strengthening senior management decision-making.
