Technical assistance to strengthen capacity in the management, evaluation and forecasting of tax expenditures in Niger

Through this CAD 620 000, World Bank-funded project (2018-2020), Cowater is supporting the Ministry of Finance of Niger in their evaluation of tax expenditure of all tax and customs regulation. This will in turn support the writing of the annual evaluation report and forecast of tax expenditures. This project will improve the autonomy in reporting on the assessment and forecasting of tax expenditures; support the management of tax expenditures; strengthen the capacity of Ministry of Finance officials through training and support managers involved in tax expenditure. Evaluation of all tax and customs regulations will also be conducted to identify any possible improvement.
