Medium-Sized Towns Sanitation/Sewerage Feasibility Study

Sub-Saharan Africa - Uganda

2003-2004 | Global Affairs Canada | USD 506 000

Cowater, in collaboration with Uganda’s National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), carried out a feasibility study to assess the sanitation and sewerage needs of 14 towns under NWSC’s jurisdiction.  The resulting master plan was essential for the planning of investments in the water and sanitation sector. Cowater undertook an institutional assessment, engaged in a preliminary scoping exercise, undertook an induestrial wastewater review, developed a cost-analysis of various approaches and technological solutions, and developed an investment plan for the required improvements and further development.
