At Cowater International, we work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by advancing renewable energy technologies, improving energy efficiency, and promoting energy saving behaviors and practices related to consumption. Our projects improve access to renewable energy at the household and community levels, for example through the installation of solar PV for micro-grids and rural electrification, and support market-led energy transitions, including through solar pumped water supply. We also focus on creating employment and training opportunities in the renewable energy sector, particularly for women and groups that face barriers to employment, while working with government and the private sector to help increase the share of renewable energy in the power sector.
